   C. S. was an English photographer active in India. He had already established a photographic studio, w. -> Arthur Robertson, called ‘Shepherd & Robertson’ in Agra in 1862, and subsequently he too moved to Shimla in 1864. At some point Robertson left the business % C.S, joined Bourne comp. to form ‘Howard, Bourne & Shepherd’. He left in 1885.
